Congrats on clearing. You truly are blessed! If your bottles don't expire for another 2 years, hold onto them in case you ever need them again within that timeframe. I pray that you don't but you new know, and that will be 2 free months for you right there.

Otherwise, if you really want them out, return them to the doctor or pharmacy. See if you can even get some money back, even if it just a co-pay

Hi liverpatient, how are you, I am now following my Gastro dr. advice, no long seeing the GI dr, or taking any pill, but go my family dr for physical checkups, everything is normal, the family advice me keep regular exercise, eat healthy diet, my bad cholesterol was 179 and good cholesterol was 39, little low, dr advice a little more exercise. In regards to  HBV, both GI and family were saying my hbsab numerical value level is not significant, but can be monitored for next 2 or 3 years, my hbsag and HBV DNA has been non-reactive and hbsab reactive for last 3 consecutive times last 18 months, the chance of HbV relapse is very low, only when my immune system is suppressed by steroid or chemo, then I will have to re-take viread again. My hbv is currently functionally cured. Dr said I am the lucky 1 in every 100 chronic hbv patient did this yearly.

Hi Bm2016, thanks for your reply; I'm doing ok, trying my best to keep the morale high; I'm not that lucky because i'm one of those chronic hbvers who do feel bothersome symptoms, but i always  live on dreaming to one day clear this virus from my body. Actually for me a cure is not a priority, i just want to get rid of the debilitating symptoms. Imagine of a disease that goes lifelong, with symptoms that make it difficult to function normally, and with no cure in sight, it is tough; but i don't have a choice except to live with it, unfortunately. But knowing of success strories like that of yours gives me encouragement that some day we all are going to be cured of hbv.

Hi Bm2016, I know you are one of the lucky few who got their chronic hbv cured by developing anti-hbs after prolonged treatment on nucs. How are you doing, have you got measured your anti-hbs titre? Could you update us on that? Regarding your excess viread, it is very easy, just deliver it back to where you purchased it from or to any pharmacy, or health center so that they could discad it in proper and safe way. Just like any medicine it is not right to dispose of viread as household waste.
