ALT & AST Level

Recently I did test for my ALT and AST. The result is

My ALT Level is 75
MY AST Level is 45

Would you please let me know whether it is normal or too high?

My test show normal range for male as AST 5-45  ul & ALT 7-56 u/l

I don't know if you have HCV or not, but I did read that you have been taking Lipitor for several years. When my dad was on it, he had to have his liver enzymes monitored, so maybe the cause is the Lipitor? Best to ask your dr. about it though........

They are somewhat elevated. Liver enzymes can fluctuate for many reasons. Do you have HCV. What did your doc say about these levels and has he/she run further tests.
