Most of the available data for tx response is based on viral load tests done
after 4wks , 12wks , 24 wks , 48 wks of tx.This is standard protocol.
If you can afford to do more tests I would add one after 2wks on 26/5/12
BEFORE you do 3rd pegasys injection.
You should do the most sensitive QUANTATIVE viral load test you can get until you become truly undetectable.
You need to know your genotype to evaluate tx duration and SVR chances.
i dnt understand the basline VL .
this report is of 12/5/12
my 1st pegasys is on 12/5/12 after report
my 2nd pegasys would be on 19/5/12.
So you don`t have a baseline viral load test ,did your first Pegasys injection on 4/28 and your first viral load after 1 wk of tx on 5/5 ?
How many injections (wks of tx) are you doing in total ?
Dear Bali
i was test 1st time for this test on 05/05/12 and i got report on 12/5/12. i dnt have any info abt viral load. now i have one dose of the pegasys 180. wht do u thnk should i go for PCR qualitative? on which date ?
What was the result of your viral load test before this last one ?
Anyway being det<12 IU/ml after only 1 wk of tx is a very very good result.
You are propably undetectable by now.
what do u think there will be a need of quantitative test after 4 weeks??
After how many wks of tx did you get the result detected<12 IU/ml ?
I would suggest getting a quantitative test at your 4th week of treatment and post the results here when you get them.
Good Luck.
here is the result of HCV PCR qualitative test result
virus detected with less than 12 IU/mL. test may be repeated after two weeks with fresh sample. i started treatment on the base of this PCR qualitative report. what i want to know that how long it will take to be in normal (undetectable) situation after the treatment as given below
pegasys of 180Ug once in a week with rebazole 400mg two times a day.
i have yet one dose of pegasys on 12th may....and 2nd is on 19th may.
It would help, as the others suggested, for you to post your entire test results. It sounds like you may be confusing the sensitivity of the test with the actual results. If you started treatment based on the results of a qualitative viral load test, then you don't have a baseline viral load and there's no way to answer your question.
i thnk this would be my baseline viral load. i dnt have any idea about genotype.
its just detected before ten days. i started treatment on 12th may, have 2nd dose on 19th of may, pegasys of 180Ug once in a week with rebazole 400mg two times a day.
At what week of treatment was this test taken and what was your baseline (starting) viral load? Also, what type of interferon are you taking, what is the size of your dose, and do you know your genotype?
its HCV RNA PCR test that is detected in the report with less than 12 IU/mL. i want to know how long it will take to be undetectable after treatment of inj and tab.
HCV RNA dettected
with viral load less than 12 UI/mL.
i want to know that after how many injectionviral load can move down to undetectable situation..??
First of all I am not sure what is normal for you ? Do you have HCV or were you being tested to see if you have HCV ?
What I see here is that your viral load is below 12 IU/ml, it should also read either ( not detected/undetectable) or (detectable below limit of quantification) as mentioned by Idyllic more information from your test result and you situation would be helpful to fully answer your question
Greetins, do you have the rest of what it says on your report? It would be a great help if you could enter a little more data just so there is a context to ensure you are told accurate information.
Someone else may be able to read more into what you put but it might help with more background info.
