I have not thrown up from the sinus infection but am still panicking out in my car. I can't pop my ears and I feel like I'm on a roller coaster if I go down a big hill or go fast. I'm avoiding interstates like the plague. The Xanax is helping, but this is a really bad feeling. I did some searching yesterday on sinus infections (there is some stuff on this site, other forum), and some people do throw up from them. Jury is still out on the Mucinex. I read up on the neti pot and think I had been doing it wrong, because I felt like I had fluid going into my inner ear. I started using the neti pot correctly and we'll see what happens. I'm leaning towards my original thinking - we get some protection from colds, but it's open season on bacterial infections. I have 31 more weeks :( I should be done by the end of the year.
I've been following Rain with all her infections, and whatever is going on with me is not fun, either. I have heard that the interferon hypes up your immune, also that it wipes it out. Jury is still out on this one..
Has the muxinex worked any at all? Im still doing the clariton and after a couple weeks it seems to be kicking in. My second round of antibiotics was finished yesterday. I also had the pharmacist tell me I could fight these infections and be treated for them for the next 12 weeks of treatment because the TX meds LOWER your immune system allowing the infections to come in.
It kinda sounds like theres nothing left to fight the infections after fighting the virus. How much longer do you have on TX Annie? Just hang tough we WILL beat this! Also I think the sinus infection has something to do with my lung infection. One big cycle.. UGH..
Has the sinus infection been making you throw up? It has me..
May God bless us all..
I've heard some people say that they had the healthiest year of their life while tx-ing. Not so much as a sniffle. I'm kind of under the belief that we may be exempt from viruses (colds, the flu), but more susceptible to bacterial infections. I have had sinus infection (at least I'm being treated for one) for going on 3 weeks now. I did 10 days of antibiotics, and didn't clear it up, so my doc gave me another 28 days. I'm going to see an ENT because I'm dizzy and lightheaded and while these can be sides from the interferon, I'm sure have my equilibrium out of wack isn't helping. I've been following Rain with all her infections, and whatever is going on with me is not fun, either. I have heard that the interferon hypes up your immune, also that it wipes it out. Jury is still out on this one...
Before I was diagnosed, I used to joke that my immune system was hyper because I never got sick. Little did I know, my immune system was working over time.... fighting my virus---and anything else that came along.
Heh kimmy,
Doctors have told me that your liver is your immune system, at least a big part of
it. I get all kinds of infections. Sinus, Urinary tract infections in my eyes, ears, sore
throat, colds, pneumonia I bumped my leg and infection built up in it they operated on my leg and drained the infection. I have "Chronic Hep C" Which to the best of my
knowledge just means I have had it for a long time and my liver is damaged. If I were you I would get help soon. If you cannot afford there some herbs that i believe help
tons. Someone told me that's why they call it the LIVE-[r]. Good luck

Impossible to say about your immune system, but the riba commonly induces a cough and I had interferon induced sniffles for the first 6-8 wks. of treatment
My bladder/kidneys have been infected for over a month and 2 rounds of antibiotics my lungs are sounding so well and my allergies triggered a sinus infection. I dont know about colds but I know infections sure come along...
I seem like I ALWAYS have a cold. As a matter of fact, today, I was crying to my husband because of this same topic. At times I wonder if it is alergies or a cold. I know what ever it is it is starting to get me down.
totally depends on your immune system, everyone is diff
