Had to stop treatment @ 43 wks--MAJOR DEPRESSION

had to stop treatment for major depression--phyc doctor would not let me go any further and Hepatolgist agreed--
shortly after that my son's partner died of leukemia at age 21 the day before his bone marrow transplant. As a lot of you know.. I have bipolar and the depression was killing me...my phyc doc had to increase my AD a lot.. Now what has happened is my biopolar is in total relapse which we believe was due to the INF treatment.  I'm in living hell right now....The hep doc still thinks I have a 90% chance of SVR at 6 months..

Sorry I haven't written much lately...I have been swinging between severe depression or mad mania..

Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected.

Love ya guys,  Dorsey

I'm so sorry Dorsey if anybody deserves a good break here it's you.  Let's just pray that 43 weeks was more than enough and you have gotten rid of this for good.

Thiis is why I missed you guys!  Just jumping in there and wishing me well.  It feels like eternity since I've been on the forum.. Just couldn't even get a thought together.
Trin--I will pray that the depression will lighten for you girl....
Marc-- you were always there to lend a great big hug for me!
Charm & ZsaZsa--that you for your "gentle" words today...Mental illness is not easy to cope with and I haven't had a relapse for over 3 1/2 years so it has really gotten me misplaced.
Your love and support will help me today.
God bless you all --you too will be in my prayers today.

Wishing you recovery and SVR. I had a good friend who also had bi-polar, so I have seen how difficult it can be to deal with.

Best wishes,

Dorsey,
I'm at the same juncture in treatment and it is very difficult to keep a healthy mental outlook.  I think we all reach a slump at some point, a place we have difficulty climbing out of.  I can't imagine having to deal with bi-polar disorder as well.  Hoping you start feeling better soon and that SVR in yours.

Dorsey – My heart goes out to you. It's quite a challenge enough dealing with bi-polar to not have the HCV treatment on top of it. I'm sure it's been incredibly tough. Here's hoping and preying that with all you've been through you achieve SVR and that you get back to some baseline soon.
