Best test results back yet. Platelets 211, highest of any test from when I was diagnosed more than seven years ago. ALT and AST 21 and 25. Undetected Hep once again.

Hi M.  Just remember once that virus is gone your liver will slowly improve.
It's been so bombarded for x amount of years and finally the healing process will begin.  Try to stay healthy and active as this should accelerate the body's natural ability to stay strong.

Thanks. The good thing is in-between the last treatment (which used inteferon) my platelets were up to an acceptable level so if it returns there (a bit lower than now) will be just fine.

Hi there.   Was on the same Tx for 12 weeks Geno 2 Sovd/Riba.  When Tx started my platelets were 125.  During Tx they were in the 250 range.  EOT they were 118.
Hopefully yours will stay up there but they may not.  Certain people experience an elevation with this med combo which reverts back to your normal platelet level before Tx.
Wanted to give you a heads up in case yours goes back and you then worry that something is wrong or that you've relapsed.  I did reach SVR12 so its not an indicator for Tx success.  Have read from others on this site that the true measure of platelet count is 6 months post EOT.
When I Tx in Jan. with Sovaldi, only the clinical trial group knew what to expect.  Had no idea that my platelets falsely rose until I did some reading.
Hope that yours stay high, but if not no need to worry.
