Doing okay?

Just wanted to take a minute to say “hello” to all the fine people on this group.

It has been over a year since I was on the site.  Things are going well overall and I hope to see many here doing well as well.

Biggest problem I gave is weak, tried and generally exhausted.  Dealing with low HGB and other lab factors off balance. However net/net considering cirrhosis for 22+ years after 40+ years of Hep C (cured with Harvoni 2015) I do okay.

Hi great to hear from you! It seems many have wandered off since being cured.

Sorry to hear about your continued medical issues but definitely beats the alternative.

For myself I had hep c for probably 37 years before I was finally cured in 2015 with my 5th treatment. I was diagnosed with cirrhosis 11 years ago.

All of my labs are normal except my platelet count which was about 85 before treatment and has slowly risen over the last 4 years to about 125 still a little low bet getting closer to normal. Myladt upper EGD made no mention of portal hypertensive gastropathy so that is also a good sign although my Fibroscan remains unchanged.

But feeling lucky to be curedand to have lived to see the new miracle drugs although it wouldn’t have hurt my feelings if they had been discovered 20 years earlier but what can you do.

Happy to hear from a fellow old time warrior and glad to hear your doing reasonably well :-)

Thanks.  Yep sounds like you are doing as well as can be expected.

You have always been very helpful to this community.

My cured in 2015 happened during my 4th treatment.
