I didn’t take any medication when I hurt my back; I was taking only vitamin C. I really hope that my liver enzymes slightly increased because I hurt my back 2 days before blood test. GGT went down so this is good and platelets improved - just wondering if you relapse after treatment how normally liver enzymes reacts they should go up like AST, ALT and GGT and platelets should go down?
Fretboard is correct! Plus AST/ALT CAN be affected by muscle inflammation, and since you strained your back, you probably have some inflammation, in addition to probably using aspirin, Motrin, etc, to ease it.
Take it easy on that back.
Look forward to seeing your post after viral load results!
Blessings, .....and on to SVR!!!

If you were undetected at 9 weeks after tx then you probably still are today. Alt/Ast fluctuate with as little as taking aspirin and anything in between such as amino acids or vitamins. Also, when your liver has to work a bit harder for any reason at all, that can also affect your Alt/Ast ratios. good luck!
Straight after treatment my VL was undetected, the liver enzymes was all normal as stated above. 9 weeks after treatment did blood check and found that AST 44 just slightly increased above normal range (15-37 U/I), ALT increased from 27 to 48 but still in norm range (16-63U/I), GGT went down from 36 to 23 norm range (15-85 U/I), my platelets also improved from 216 to 241. The 9 weeks after treatment VL results will be on 14/12/2015, so have to wait 16 more days.
2 days before I gave blood, I badly hurt my back due to moving furniture’s, I nearly could walk, could be this factor to increase AST?
Hi. I treated with Viekira Pak. Just got the 24 weeks all clear on Thursday!
Looks like your liver enzyme levels are lower at 12-weeks, right? What about viral load and fibroscan? I wouldn't worry if things are improving. How much improvement to expect would depend on your baseline health. The enzyme levels are an indicator but can fluctuate for so many different reasons. Vigorous exercise for example.
Wait for your next test and don't worry :-)
