I wonder if sipping sugar free coconut milk would help. It did for me.
I took Zofran and had no nausea as a result.
I had a terrible time with nausea while I was on treatment and took both Zofran and Promethazine separately. They really didn't help me all that much. I think it may be because my nausea was caused by excess acid. What actually helped me the most was saltines.
When I was on triple therapy and the nausea kicked in my Hepatologist prescribed Promethazine and it totally knocked me out for about 4 hours. I would have to agree with hrsepwrguy in asking for Zofran. I know several who took it last year.
Hope you feel better soon!
"Your doctor should be able to give you a strong enough prescription for nausea. There is great medication for that."
Ask your doc for zofran (it's rx only)
I also took Riba for my virus and experienced nausea. The good news is that for many it seems to disappear after the 3-4 week period. As Don'tworry has shared your Dr can prescribe stronger meds if needed.
You also can try eating small meals prior to med time. A good choice would be to include protein in that meal as it helps with absorption of the pill. Some examples would be yogurt, peanut butter (nuts) cheese, eggs. If the nausea continues try some ginger (ginger ale, ginger snap cookies) and saltines. This should calm down your stomach.
Keep in mind, the nausea is usually temporary.
Be well

I hope the above is helpful.
Your doctor should be able to give you a strong enough prescription for nausea. There is great medication for that. I would give your doctors office a call and have them phone in something stronger. The doctor on call should be able to take care of this for you. When I was on treatment I took the same nausea medication I used during chemo for cancer. Trust me there
is good medication for nausea.
