Forgot to take my Med a few times

I have taken 15 shots of inj. pegasys for my HCV genotype-3.Since past 2 weeks I have a major loss of memory as i tend to forget whether i have taken the medicine or not.Sometimes it results in me taking medicine twice at night.  When  sure that i have not taken  medicine,i compensate it with taking 3 tabs instead of 2 at morning and at night.I intent to start marking at my calender whenever i take a dose. But the Question is---whether the missed doses will affect my recovery.Plz Suggest.

Regards,
Monty

pill box...pill box.  It's a great way to keep track...as long as you can remember what day it is...haha.  Using your cell phone alarm is good as long as you have it with you at dose time.  Keep on keeping on.

The pill boxes as described above are life-savers when on treatment.  Definitely get the pill box and move forward.

"I use a weekly pill box with AM/PM compatments and prefill it once a week."
My Brain Fog was so bad I lost mine.
Nothingstoxic- Most of us have done this, so don't beat yourself up over it. Like Trin said, Riba has a long half-life. You should be fine. Good luck in finding a method that works for you.

Pill box , it's tough to remember sometimes.  I also set the alarm on my phone, for 7 am and 7 pm.

First, count the pills left in the container and subtract that number from the number of pills that the container originally had.  This number should be somewhere on the label.  That will give you the number of pills you have taken so far.  Divide this number by the number of pills you take every dosage.  This will give you the number of doses worth of medication you took.  In this way, you can see how many doses you missed.  Then you can judge how serious the problem is.

Resolve to never again take medication without marking it down somewhere.

Over the past15 weeks you have built up an adequate serum ribavirin level.  Ribavirin has a long half life and at this point in your treatment a few missed does shouldn't effect your outcome.  However, you do want to be diligent with your newly implemented method of keeping up with your ribavirin intake.  It is important to adhere to the recommended dosage over the course of your treatment.
