GS-7977 trial

Does anyone know if it is too late to participate in this clinical trial?
I applied for both Pharmasset and Gilead  I know Gilead bought out Pharmasset but they had two different trials listed for enrollment. Anyway, was just wondering if it is worth being a guinea pig or should I just buck up and take the Inf/Rib treatment. The results are much more promising for GS-7977/Rib tx. and less side effects right? Anyone know more I'd appreciate it. And thanks to all who have responded. I haven't felt well these last several days so opted out on chatting
Until then

Another forum member, specda, shared this information regarding clinical trials, and I posted it in my journals:

I'm in the clinical trial with GS-7977/riba and have had minimal side effects.  The 2nd week I felt headachy but mostly feel great.  I'm able to swim, workout and be my hyper self without noticing any difference in energy level after the second week. My results at that time were VL<25. It's now week 4 and I just had my labs yesterday.  It usually takes 10 days for results of VL and less for the other labs which are all in normal range.  HGB was 14 plus @ wk 2 with 1000 riba, it was higher than when I began.  BTW, I'm GT 1a and prior to the Quantum trial was tx naive.
Best of luck to you.  Obviously I'd choose a trial with GS-7977.  May we all reach our goals!!  Best...

There are more ALL ORAL trials coming up with Gilead and Abbott pharma's. Check with the nearest clinical trial sites nearest you and ask when they'll start screening. What state are you in? There should be plenty of people that could direct you on where to call, if you don't know. Since you are tx naive, this will put you in a very good position to be accepted into a trial. What genotype are you? Have you been following the excitement of the all oral trials and the success they're having?
