Gilead rescue study update - Great news!

Hi everyone.  If you don't know me I started with Gilead's all oral trial.  I relapsed after 2 months so went on the rescue arm which added PEG.  Thank goodness no side effects and it's now week 17.  I've been UND again since weeks 4 or 5 of the rescue.  Just got my week 16 results and I'm still UND.  Results are better than they've ever been...HGB is going up at 12.2.  ALT and AST are both in the teens!!!!  Haven't seen those numbers in about 3 years.  Just wanted to share some good news.  Hope everyone is doing well with their own treatments!

The study said anyone who went UND within 4 weeks of starting the rescue would stay on for 24 weeks.  Since I went UND somewhere between weeks 4 and 6, I'll be on PEG/RIBA/9451/5885 for 24 weeks.  Then I go down to PEG/RIBA only for another 24, making the total of 48 on rescue, 56 total including the initial oral arm of the trial.  But I feel great, no sides so let's just get rid of this thing already.
