Great beach trip but life's a beach...3 mo. pcr
Well I had the greatest 2 months of this decade, got to get out in my garden and plant a HUGE garden, tons of new shrubs and roses, catch up my taxes, and feel human for the first time in 2 years.
88 wks of chemo stole away all of my strength and most of my joy, it's been good to feel that coming back...makes you really see life anew.
SO things were looking up...got away to the beach for 3 days (1st trip in 4 yrs)..
and the beach was great!!
but came home to face the music..knowing my labs were in process.
and yes life is a beach...more at sometimes than others.
the "beach is"...my HCV is back. How's that for a summer fizzle.
I'd cuss but we aren't allowed...so duck, carp and then some.

Sorry,Merry,but im expecting the same thing this Friday with my 1 month I just have this feeling.The way my luck is lately.
I cannot imagine how your feeling right now. Such a disappointment and my heart goes out to you .
Very sorry to hears this life ***** some days but tommorrow will come i relapsed 3 times once from 72 weeks was neg for 47 weeks i am neg 3 months post after 4th treatment 24 weeks telaprevir never give up best wishes steve

sorry to hear this after you put up such a great fight. hang in there PI's are right around the corner and they will kill the dragon once and for all.

You had the dragon down, you know you can stand the interferon that makes you a good candidate for Pl`s I think.

My heart is grieved to hear this. I am praying for you to have peace in spite of your circumstances. We have been having to pray for this too and I have to say,God has been coming through. No SVR, but lots of peace for today.
We are going to try LDN. Joe hasn't been officially stopped on Tx but we are expecting that to come at his appt. on Sept 3rd. His viral load was still in the 200's after 30 some odd weeks of Peg,Riba and Alinia, and 24 weeks on daily Infergen/Riba/ Alinia. At least you got to undetectable so you are an official relapser instead of a non responder. That puts you in a better category than Joe. I will let you know if LDN seems to help. I don't expect his lab work will include viral load since they quit checking when not on Tx.. I might be able to persuade them to check in 6 months. We will start LDN as soon as he takes his last shot. (Last shot sounds really good even if Tx failed)

thanks to you all,,,we knew it was a long shot, but putting in all that time, not to mention the illness...well, it's easyier to understand why some don't keep treating. I'll always be glad i TRIED SO HARD...it will give me strength going forward to have done so...but I'm not sure I'll give up another year of my life for a big maybe....
