HAPPY - Acheived SVR!!

I finished my treatment at the end of August 09 and after a nail bitting six months, my doctor just called me to say that I am now undetecable.  I'm so happy, I really didn't think it was going to work because at 12 weeks, my viral load was 80, which was a dramatic drop for how high it was when I first started the interferon but it was still there.  I asked my doctor about going on for 72 weeks but she said that there wasn't a need for it.  Although I feel pretty good and haven't been nauseas since I started treatment, I have a lot of aches in my upper arms, legs, etc., hopefully that will go away as times goes on.

Anyway, for those who are going through treatment now, stick with it, the prize at the end is so worth it, believe me.  Half way through my treatment, I had to go on Procrit and Neupogen and this along with the Interferon and Ribaviran wasn't easy but I hung in there and now I have acheived the prize!

I want to thank everyeone on this board for all the help I received along the way, it was encouraging for me to know that there are so many other's out there who are going through the same thing, and for those who are just starting treatment, hang in there and take it one day at a time.

Linda
