Over a year ago I posted this about advance searching at clinical trials with and example that's old now but will give some ideas.

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Hepatitis-C/What-are-some-suggestions-for-looking-and-trying-to-get-on-a-clinical-trial-/show/2071724

I may be able to help anyone with a specific search if I have enough details.  If you are not aware of how trials work including risks,  exclusions and etc. Please search that site and elsewhere.

I live in the Buffalo, NY area lot's of snow and quite cold out.   Have a little more time now, but may take a day or to to reply.  Once it gets warmer or get I get work I won't be at this site too often.

Hello,  JM is absolutely correct about the Federal Govt. sponsored website. If you search for clinical trials, I do believe there a few other data bases. I feel your chances may be fairly good-- you live near a major city. You will most likely find the trials being conducted at major teaching hospitals, usually attached to major, prestigious hospitals. I was very fortunate in being 30 minutes away from the Hospital of The University of PA, where the I paticipated in a clinical trial of (two in one pill) meds soon to be released by Merck. Depending upon the drug manufacturer's inclusion criteria, you may have clear a lot of hurdles. They will probably want a recent liver biopsy, or at the very least a recent FibroScan result, they will run a multitude of blood panels, looking at kidney/liver functions, checking for anemia, (complete hematology workup), urinalysis, etc... They will also do a tox screen and check you for HIV, if you get that far in the process. If you contracted HCV from IVDA/illicit drug use they could not care less, but if you are still dabbling, you will promptly be excluded. Sometimes seemingly minor things as being .3 below the minimum hemoglobin level can disqualify you, as it did me for the trial I applied for in 2012. In the 2014 trial, I had corrected the anemia, and being a null responder to INF/RBV and w/cirrhosis, I was accepted. Please see my other posts if you want to know what the process was like. Good Luck, mac790

Welcome new member.  We're not doctors but members can offer you advice and support.   It's not live chat so if you have to leave please come back later to see replies.

If you can provide some basic info like genotype,  fibrosis F0 -F4 cirrhosis, prior treatment etc. it may be easier to provide possibilities.

This is one of the most comprehensive sites for trials and some members may be able to help you search.  Many trials that say now recruiting may already be full.   One of the best ways is to already be under the care of a gastro with hepatitis C treatment experience who is involved in trials or has a relationship with clinical trial site.
A referral is the best way to try and get in a trial.

I have to leave now but I'm sure others will offer help.
