HOW LONG WERE U FATIGUED AFTER FINISHING

TREATMENT.  I'm just at 2 months off treatment and I still find myself on weekends just wanting to do NOTHING.  I work all week and then all I want to do on weekends is stay in bed.  Just like when I was doing ALL my shots. Procrit, neupogen and IF.
Anyone got some info for me.

Thanks.
Dorsey

THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!
I was making myself CRAZY thinking I should be UP and doing SO MUCH MORE than I am !!  I make it to work and work 8 hours a day and by the weekends I AM SHOT!!!
Then I make my self more depressed because I feel like I should be UP AND DOING SOMETHING !!  but my body and mind just won't let it happen.

You guys experiences that you shared have helped me a great deal!!  I don't feel so alone now.
Thanks and God bless you all... Dorsey

Many others and me went through the same thing. I believe it was Wyntre9 that called it the “Wounded Animal Syndrome.” You will come out from the security of your “Cave” when you are ready. So don’t worry about it. R. Glass

I was on tx way too long to really be of any good advice but I will tell you, even now 2 years later I STILL have days where I'm just physically wiped out - way more than normal....I don't have the pep I used to have and dont think it's really gonna come back however that could be old age creeping in and me not realizing that I''m not 20 anymore just as easily as post tx effects.

By 6 months though after the 72 I was ok.  Post one year I was MUCh better.

You'll get there Dorsey..........just hang in there.

Just an added note, i've become hypothyroid, that might have something to do with the fatigue as well. How is your thyroid function?

Hi Dorsey, I'm just over 2 months off tx myself. I find I have days, where i am feeling almost normal, then i have a few days in a row where I have to drag myself out of bed. I am so fatigued physically and mentally. However, still far better than tx, and i can see gradual improvement. I hear the average to feeling your old self is 2-6 months, although the rate varies with everyone, and some apparently take far longer. I've heard that some people never feel as energetic as they used to. Let's hope you and I get back to normal very soon.
