You will always test positive for Hepatitis C ntibodies for the rest of your life because you were at one time infected with the hepatitis C virus.

Antibodies are not the virus they are made by your bodies own immune system when it tried to fight the virus. Hepatitis C antibodies are a part of your bodies own immune system.

Congratulations on your cure.

In the future don’t have the hepatitis C antibody test done.. The result is known you will always test positive for Hepatitis C antibodies.

If you think you have been reinfected the only way to know is have the HCV RNA by PCR test that checks for the Hep C virus itself.
