Harvoni

Hi group!
I just received my first shipment of harvoni in the mail. My dr is starting me on a 12 week treatment plan. I was excited to hear about this new medicine that has little side effects and a high cure rate. But now that I actually have the medicine in my hands, I'm extremely nervous. If there is anyone out there that has tried harvoni can you please share your experience? It would be nice to hear some feedback, hopefully it will help calm my nerves. Any tips or advice (good and bad) is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for being here for someone like me.

Best advice is keep properly hydrated seems to help with headaches.

I had hep c for 37 years treated 3 times and failed with the old treatment regimens. I have cirrhosis so I took Harvoni for 24 weeks. We added ribavirin part way in for 15 of those weeks.

I had a couple of headaches before we added the riba but other than that felt fine with just the Harvoni.

Over the lips and past the gums, look out hep c here it comes!

Good luck

I did 12 weeks and felt better on treatment than I've felt in years. I didn't have any real side effects to speak of. Maybe a little fatigue the first week, but other than that, I really enjoyed the experience.

Don't stress over it. The majority of people who take it don't have much in the way of side effects. If they do, it's usually mild fatigue and headaches. You should be fine. Pop that first pill like a boss.

Oh, and I was cured afterwards...

Good luck,
Marc
