Haven't posted since starting tx, ending soon, here to ask questions...

Hello! Ok, bit of background, first.

Started treatment last July. Virus undetected at 12 weeks. Have had all the crappy symptoms expected. Just did my 2nd to last injection on Friday, can't believe I've been giving myself a needle for a year. Up to speed? ok :-)

My questions are.......

How did people feel after treatment? when did your mood get better, get energy back (should also mention that I work in a daycare center part time, so while I run after toddlers all afternoon, I can barely move upon coming home) when did the really physically noticeable symptoms go away (I've had terrible dandruff, itchy skin, dry patches, a little hair loss)?

Thank you to everyone and best wishes!

Annie

Thank you, everyone. I must say its a blessing to end soon and say it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. On that note, I have to go wash the dandruff control shampoo out of my hair. :-)

Eveyone is different. I felt little side effects the last month of treatment and then when I finished I ended up in the hospital 3 weeks post treatment with an infection and Pluerisy.
About 2 months post treatrment I felt a lot better. Just hang in there.

Welcome back, I'm glad you are almost done! I finished April25th, and felt much better around week 3. I still have some neck and upper back pain, and some dry patches around my chin, but energy is back, and depression lifted. Keep us posted on how you are doing. All the best!

Good Job on the negative Annie, congratulations.
I went through treatment 4 times since 98. I really felt better after 3 weeks off, and even better after 4 weeks. I took about 2 mths before I would say I felt more normal, since your so young it should be quicker for ya. I only tested negative for 1mth, and am now considered not curable, I am really glad for ya. Good Luck.
