Hep

I have had hep c for 3 years now and am considering treatment with interfeon and ribavirin

what is your reason to start now? if you have little liver damage then why not wait a few more years for the new drugs? of course there are other reasons to treat sooner, if you are experiencing symptoms of extra hepatic manifestations, etc then dont put it off.

Before you take that leap you may want to collect opinions from knowledgeable docs.  Having hosted hcv for a relatively short time the condition of your liver and other important parts may allow you the time to evaluate other alternatives.  In addition, if you decide to go for treatment it's important to go through the diagnostic testing to get a fix on exactly where your overall health is.  Good luck, it's a big decision.
