Hep. C - related to Diabetes and High Cholesterol
My question is: Is it true that if you have Hepatitis C, which I do, that you are not likely to have a problem with Diabetes or Chloresteral? My sugar is usually around 82 and my last Cholesteral test was 130. I know I have a problem with low sugar, is that a problem of the Hep C. also? Thank you for answering my question
The low cholesterol could be the Hep-C. I had low cholesterol for the last 15 years average about 100. I recently finished tx about 5 months ago and my cholesterol is already up to 177. Fibrosis can damage the Liver in different ways. One of them in my case was low chlesterol. Apparently it is now healing and making more cholesterol.
