Hepatitis and Kidneys

I am almost 12 months tx, and my general health is good, most of the sx gone.
But unfortunately I did recently an ultrasound for the stomachm acctually I did 3 months ago to investigate slightly high blood pressure tha found nothingm and a week ago I did another ultrasound that my gasro asked to investigate my reflux, the last ultrasound found something in the right kidney, they are affraid it can be RCC (tumor) so they asked me to do a CT.

Does anyone know about relationship between hepatitis and the kidneys ?
My blood test are OK so can it be RCC ?
Does CT test much more accurate then ultrasound ?

Thank you,
Jack

Thank you.
Do you know if there is any tumor or stone in the kidney - does it have impact that can be seen in blood test ?
Thank you,
Jack

yes the CT is much more definative in determining what masses are. After that they may use an MRI for further diagnostics.

Try and relax until you get the CT results.I would not rely on what an ultrasound showed. Hopefully it turns out to be a large stone or something else.

Yes HCV does affect the kidneys. There have been many studies on this, just google HCV - kidney and you should get many hits.

Best of luck
