I've gata agree with the others. Some times while on this nasty stuff you just feal like that. It's the pits but it should get better or you'll at least have good days here and there. I"m on 1200 of riba as well and let me tell you I've had some really bad days when I could barley lift my arms. They were like jelly I was so week but I've had really good days as well. If you're worried I would call the doc just for peace of mind. They want to hear from you about anything you're worried about while on tx so they can keep and eye on you but alot of what they will do is encourage you to keep going on. Good luck and I hope you feal better really soon! I will pray for you : )

Hmmm my doctor on first visit said after the two week visit I'd be seeing him once a month. After two week visit and blood report reading he said I'd be seeing him every two months and to just call for VL at week five. Wonder what he'll come up with on my next visit.

I know what you mean about sleeping 12 hours, I remember I couldn't wait to get into bed every chance I had.  I have stopped tx. for 12 days now and I cant believe the difference in my energy.
I remember not being able to lift my arms to fold laundry,, I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without stopping to sit. all due to low hgb from the ribivarin.

definitely get your hgb levels  I know the ribivarin (are you taking that) does contribute to low hgb.

I am taking the same stuff you are and was very tired the first few weeks. Last week (#4) was really tough but wk 5 is better. I think the first weeks are the hardest. It will get better.

I would agree with lynda ..more than likely the Incivek causing the fatigue...as many people seem to be mentioning it early .

Hang in Billy...hope things start to level out for you as you move on.

Will.

Very odd, above and below symbols are not appearing

One more time:  Weight based ribavirin dosage

below 75kg -  1000 mg ribavirin is recommended
above 75kg -  1200 mg ribavirin is recommended

Those who are taking Incivek are likely to experience fatigue very early in treatment.  It is a side effect associated with the drug.

Ribavirin should be weight based.  75kg - 1200 mg

What was your starting hgb?  Very doubtful your hgb levels need intervention yet.  Anemia with Incivek occurs  roughly 37% of the time vs 17% with SOC only so keep an eye on those hgb levels. It's is recommended lab draws be done at week 2, 4, 8 & 12 with triple therapy.  Some doctors prefer every two weeks thought the first 12 weeks.

You should start feeling better as your body adjusts to the drugs.

Are you taking any vitamins I've been taking gnc's Mega-men for years and doc tells me to keep taking them, I was taking one in the morning and one in the evening, but by 3:00 at work I was done, so I started taking 2 in the morning and it definitely helps me through the day. I run an auto shop in Florida and it's hot. I am also on triple dose did my second shot yesterday, still a little tired but not to bad.
Good luck
Joe

This is a discussion you need to have with your doctor.  They should be watching your blood levels closely looking for any sudden drops.   Rather than dose reduction, your doctor might instead give "rescue drugs" such as epogen for low hgb, or neupogen for low anc/wbc levels.

Your body is adjusting to the new drugs and it may take some until things begin to level off.   Hope you feel a bit better and look at your cbc results to discuss with the doc.
