I flunked my SOC final about a year ago. Waiting for Telapravir or Bocepravir are probably the best options if you can afford to wait. Some genotype I SOC failures treat with infergen, but I am planning on waiting for the new drugs.

Good luck, and keep us posted here!

Thank you for allowing me to be angry (at least for now).
My anger is mostly about not being stopped at 4/6 weeks.
I would never attempt this again without the Telaprevir.

The next step for the best chance of SVR are the Protease Inhibitors (Telaprevir and Boceprevir) that are expected to out sometime next year.

Awh Poobah, you'll move on once the drugs are out of your system and you start to feel better.  I went 72 weeks and failed.  That was a kick in the A$$ and least you didn't have to endure that.  I'm not bitter, just disappointed.

There are better drugs coming soon for those of us who do not respond.  Hang in there all you fellow non responders.  We will prevail.

I'm so sorry to hear your situation. I also just recently failed my Interferon/Ribavirin treatment. I'm running very emotional right now.

My opinion is that the effects of these drugs on your body are so harsh and the success rate is so low, that I question whether it's worth treating HCV at all. I was told to take at least 6 months off if I decide to attempt treatment again. HA! ********. Like I would ever put my body through what I've just been through ever again.

This is my first week without the drugs. I plan on recovering from the side effects and putting this behind me for a long while. Good luck to you.
