I cleared! I cleared!

"10/08/14 11:50 am IMMUNOLOGY

                            **FINAL REPORT 10/10/14**

   HCV VIRAL LOAD (Final 10/10/14):
      HCV-RNA NOT DETECTED.
Performed using Cobas Ampliprep / Cobas Taqman HCV v2.0 Test.
      Linear range of quantification: 1.50E+01 IU/mL - 1.00E+08 IU/mL.
      Limit of detection: 1.50E+01 IU/mL."

Omg!!  This is the first time in over 37 years I have not had Hepatitis C!  Genotype 1a, simeprevir and sofosbuvir 12 weeks.  I'm so happy I feel like running through the streets yelling "I cleared!  I cleared!!  I'm well!!"  I know it can come back and we have scheduled visits for blood draws going out to April, but I'm not going to think about that.  I feel so good, it feels like someone gave me back the body I had 30 or 40 years ago!!!!!

While your eating your BLT and painting your table, I'm contemplating going back to France for a few months.  Your right Chris, this is a life changing experience and a real awakening just to feel normal again.
Soon we will all know the way life was intended to be lived.  Counting the days till then.....
Happy for you!

That is great news and I am going to be right behind you, I have 3 more weeks to go until I am finished with Sol/Oly. The stuff is amazing! NO side effects. I only have had 1 viral load test at two weeks in and it was <15. Doc is not taking another one until Nov 6 , which is only 1 week away from EOT.

Thank you for all the congratulations!!  This is a wonderful place to share good news and to receive comfort and support as well.

Bassetgirl, yes, I am cirrhotic, Child's Class A, genotype 1a.

I'm still having fatigue off and on, like today, but I know my body's been through a huge ordeal and I need to listen and rest, eat well.  But the way I can tell I'm cured is I'm having thoughts like what do I want to be for Halloween?  I think I'll paint that table a different color.  I'm going to rearrange the living room.  I'm going to the cafe and have a BLT and work on the jigsaw puzzle:  thoughts that have never even occurred to me for years.  That's how long I've been that sick.  Wow.  Even if I relapse, I've had this peek into what my life used to be and what I hope it can be again.  October 21 I turn 60 years old.  Best present I could have ever asked for is NOT DETECTED.  :)

Congratulations!  I felt like that, too, when I finally heard those words.., 'undetected'.  I had tried so many treatments and for so many years, when I first heard them say it, I felt like I was in shock, like I was dreaming!  Now, I'm waiting to see if it will turn into an SVR - hoping so!  I get my 3 mon. post TX viral load in mid-Dec, but probably won't hear results until after first of the year.

I'm so happy for you!!! One question: are you cirrhotic?  I'm asking because I'm also 1a, Sovaldi/Olysio for 12 weeks, but am compensated cirrhotic- will have my 12 week after treatment blood work done on Oct. 23rd. Am trying to be hopeful.
