Is this really a symptom?

Hep doc said redness on the hands (at the base of my fingers, in my case) is a symptom of hepc. I had never heard that and wanted to see if anyone knew about that.

i have heard of it actually being a sign of cirrhosis when accompanied with other symptoms & tests. It usually is on the base of your palms (fat part of hands).

Before you panic there are many things that can cause red palms, i.e. hormones, medication, etc.

If your doctor is basing HCV on this alone find another doctor quick !
