Kissing....

While we're on blood.... I've had occasional bleeding gums since starting tx. I'm havng to floss a lot  - all those nuts, seeds, juicing, frozen fruit in shakes... Using Therabreath toothpaste, and mouthwash and a softer brush helps. I'm just ultra cautious. I've had bleeding gums on occasion my whole life. Teeth cleaned annually, etc.  Heck, I've cooked for my family for years, tasting the food, sharing an entree. My daughter n ex both tested neg 2 xs. Since diagnosis I watch every little thing sooo carefully. N E way, it's one thing I forgot to ask at the Dr. today was about kissing. Blushing, Karen :}

Indublitably... Maybe that's a low grade fever, not a blush.

Unfortunately, I had to ask my doc this question when the guy I was dating became concerned about kissing (a valid concern but did not make me happy).  My doc said the only way I could infect him by kissing would be if he and I were bleeding in the mouth/lips at the same time OR, if he had a small cut and did not know about it.

Have you asked your dentist for a remedy, in addition to what you are already doing??  Best of luck.  Blush away!
