I've had two - my biggest problem is I have no veins from past lifestyle so that part is torture. The rest is easy. If you have a portable dvd player or ipad, take a movie - the 3-4 hours afterwards just drags on when you feel fine and ready to go home.

I agree with Spectda- there is minimal pain/discomfort involved. If you like, ask them about twilight anesthesia; they use fentanyl/versed combo and you probably won’t have much awareness or remember much, if anything.

Good luck with the results-

I have had  two biopsy"s and both were painless with no complications. As Dave mentioned they will keep you for about three hrs. and then just tell you to take it easy for about 24 hrs.

  Good luck.....

For most of us the biopsy is quick and painless.  The most difficult part for me was lying on my right side in recovery for three hours afterwards feeling quite bored. I have had three of them.
Let us know how it goes and don't worry.
