Hi rocky, my hair loss had pretty much stopped by week 3 post.  It did not really start growing back until about 3+ months post.

Congratulations on the new grandchild! Great news and motivation to help you recover quickly.

Wow, what a warrior you have been and we know that you will beat this eventually!!! I am glad you found (some) acceptance. For me, acceptance and turning all my crap over to my higher power is the reason I am alive and fighting this once again, though only my 4th!
Something new will come down the pipeline and it will be much more tolerable and it will also be the ultimate dragon slayer!
Keep on living and congratulations on the new grandchild!
Prayers and good energy your way,

Chris

I just want to say that I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. But I don't believe all the time and effort you have put into this was for nothing.  You may well have kept the virus from doing even greater harm had you not gone through all the treatments.  You are in a fight for life and so far you are winning. Stay strong, get healthy, and prepare yourself for the next battle.
Congratulations on your new grandchild.  Enjoy him and every new day!

I am surprised your hair is still falling out.  Why, I wonder.  Mine stopped falling out about week 36 on treatment and First tx it did not fall out after, at all.

Congrats on the new grandchild.  She sounds wonderful

How longafter treatment does your hair stop falling out? I have bald spots.
My daughter had a Parker and he weighed 9lbs, 11.5 ounces. The doc was shocked he weighed so much, he said the week befor that he was average size. My daughter is a tiny thing!

Congrats on your big, healthy grand-boy being born!  That is how much my first son weighed, and I was only 21 yrs old, with very narrow hips (back then)
I hope that you begin to feel much better soon. Keep up with the healthy
meals, and build yourself up strong.

After 8 treatments, all I can say is.....I would be more than happy to beat down that dragon with a big stick, stab it in the eye with a fork and kick it where it counts!!  Just say the word.

For now -- recover.  Tomorrow (God willing) will take care of itself.  Your daughter is right.  Enjoy that new smiling baby boy :0)

Hugs & Prayers,
Bee

Your daughter must be so scared.  What a tribulation: you fighting for your life while she is bringing one into the world.  Life is amazing in the way obstacles turn into path changes.  The best is yet to come for you - You become the Matriarche, a cherished position, Granny.  The new oral drugs are coming for the type of difficulty you have - almost custom made for those that do not tolerate the harsh tx we have today, major hope for you.

This is disquieting and I must honor your great courage and fierce will.  No doubt your daughter has the same qualities.  Also your kindness and support over time here has been and is so valuable.

I am so sorry.  There was always that outside chance.  You carry one heck of a resistent virus, girl.

How are your lungs?  What do your doctors say - any permanent damage?  Have you been able to use your inhalers again?  Sorry to hear the anemia is still bad - are you still taking procrit?
