Non Responder or relapsed HCV RNA treatment

Friends,

I have new HCV QUANTETIVE & RNA,GENOTYPE test result.(Non responder or relapse)

HCV RNA Detected
5.47X10X3 IU/ml (3.74 LOG)

Genotype:3b

Please advise me is it pssible to continue Pegasys+ribavirin therapy with my present health condition(Portal hypertension,Esophaegal Verix ii-iii)?

If you did not respond or relapsed, why to continue with the therapy? It didn't work, and continuing makes no sense.
With symptoms of decompensated cirrhosis that you list, antiviral therapy is dangerous. It can cause further decompensation.
Please, discuss your concerns with hepatologist.

It sounds as though you are developing signs of decompensated liver disease. If your doctor is going to allow you to continue with antiviral therapy, he should do so with great caution; the drugs ribavirin and interferon are not labeled for this purpose. There are no doctors on this board.
