I don't have an answer for you, but it might help if you said whether you are in California or Florida.  They both have an Orange County.

There's orange county north carolina too.  You could ask your Dr. for a written referral to an orange county location similar to the one you go to (if you have a Dr.)  Or spend some time calling, and asking around to see what they say.

I would guess by the handle "ocsunshine"  that it is Florida.  Here - in Orange county, NY- we have no hepatologists but we do have choppers.

If you happen to be with Kaiser Permanente, I strongly recommend Dr. Kathy Akashi in West Orange. She has great compassion for her patients, to the point of where she would respond to my emails, in detail, within hours (and I sent her a busload of those). She is also very knowledgable on Hep C and not against attempting an aggressive approach of treatment.

And if you are a total fanatic, like me, and need a second opinion (or a first for that matter), see Dr,  Fred Poordad, Chief of Hepatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is considered by many to be the Southern California guru of hepatology. Good luck.
