I started getting liver pain about a year ago. I went to the Dr. he said it is impossible to feel the liver. I started the harvoni and the liver pain got worst. I know that it is possible to feel the liver. When I first found out I had Hep c I got a liver biopsy. I was told that it wouldn't hurt when they take the piece from the liver. I felt when they took the piece of liver and it hurt for three weeks. I hope the treatment works and the liver pain goes away.
I have been on harvoni for 2 wks n 3 days.I have been in intense pain at liver area n right kidney.NO ITS NOT GAS.This is true pain.I have called drs office .they it WAS NOT one of the side effects..but I know my body.I had been drinking about a gallon of water .I am almost drinking 2 gallons.this seems to help.the 1st 3 days of tx, I figured it was where virus was getting its butt kicked by harvoni, I hope this is the CASE. Still after taking harvoni religiously..it seems like drs offices are brushing this OFF. But drinking more water does seem t o help. But also remember I don't have water retention EITHER.
I finished harvoni June 9 12 weeks and experienced liver and kidney pain as well. I thought it is probably the drugs they have to be powerful to kill this virus. I still get pain in the liver not as much but as was said previous I do believe it is gas pockets Sometimes I feel like my food is stuck in the middle where the rib cage meets and if I try to burp the discomfort subsides. It could be indigestion issues. I am undetected so all is good and has been a month since eot and starting to feel great mentally and physically. Brain fog has left the building.
I started Harvoni on July 8...have bad pain in my kidney area and right side tender to touch in the center of my abdomen...and I seem slow today. Yesterday I bumped into the door and today I almost fell over. I take NO OTHER MEDS and had no symptoms but tested positive for HEP C in 2011, no prior treatment. I am assuming that the meds are filtering through my LIVER and killing all of the yuck. I have experienced dizziness, NOT euphoric, but clumsy and dizzy. If I did not have someone at home with me, I would be more concerned. Bad cramping pain and just malaise today...
Have you considered a gas pocket. I get them there , wspecially if I have eaten something with sugar, or fat. Burping seems to relieve it. Not trying to downplay your symptoms, but often, when we are on meds and so focused on our livers, we overlook the very simple answers.

I HAD 12 WEEKS OF HARVONI AND EXPERIENCED PAIN IN MY KIDNEYS AND LIVER BUT I FIGURED IT WAS HARVONI WHOOPING ON HEP C I THINK HARVONI WON CAUSE I'M FEELING BETTER GOOD LUCK
Just random aches and pains here but nothing bad. I wouldn't be concerned unless it persists. I'm on my first week of Harvoni.
