Hello, welcome. Livelife has given you excellent advice. Unless you were both bleeding the risk isn't there.
To make yourself feel better you can always be tested.
Easier said than done but try not to be afraid
Take Care, Dee
Hi and welcome.
Can't give you % but wish to convey that we now have treatment for the
Hep C virus which in now curable. Should you contract the virus you would typically take meds for approx 12 weeks depending upon which genotype you have. Also will add, next month newer treatments will be coming out offering up to 97% cure rate. If by chance you were involved in a high risk situation this virus can be eliminated and cured. We also have on the horizon many new options, with hopefully less down time. This virus is no longer the dreaded disease so many of us have had to deal with in years past.
Try to take a deep breath and know there is treatment. This is a blood to blood virus, not typically associated with sexual intimacy. Usually this virus is more often found with blood transfusions or unsanitary needle exposure. If you were exposed and both partners were bleeding and one had Hep C, you should get tested. Not only exposure to Hep C, but other communicable diseases as well.
Hope others will add to this discussion and help you understand more fully the likelyhood of contracting.
Take care
....Kim
