This new site is really horrible. List ordering based on new questions rather than responses means that threads people might be interested in get lost and conversations get buried. Further your (probably) content delivery network cache settings prevent new information from appearing in a timely fashion.
Almost every time I come back there is something new to hate about yet another tweak to the format. The adverts are so much more in your face.
The sense of community has been severely affected by the constant meddling with features that worked well previously. Change the colours and logos all you like, but changing core features worked well has made me get really fed up with this site. It has become a superficial stream of new questions that garner one or two simple responses. May as well use twitter.
No offence to people posting new questions who are, and should be welcome. The point is that there used to be a community of regular visitors, serious discussions and detailed information about hepatitis C in this forum. Even though it was obviously a commercial enterprise, I used to think that contributing to this web site had an element of sharing information for the benefit of people who wanted to understand HCV. Now it has become a wasteland and I have had enough.
If any of you are left to read this, thank you to the people who responded to my questions and gave me support in the nearly 7-years that I have both lurked and contributed to this forum. It was a good resource for support and information from which I benefitted immensely.
Today, just now, is the first time I have seen the new format on my mobile device, it is horrible! I can't look for any of my regular friends without going into every thread. This is not a good way to build a community.
And new it is back to the old format, which is so much friendlier! Thank you!
