Grapefruit ties up the cytochrome P450 system so it affects drug clearance. It is not a good thing to do while on treatment.

I, too, don't KNOW the 'real' answer, HOWEVER,  the literature said do not use/ingest grapefruit or Seville Oranges.  There are enough other things out there to eat/drink that I have had NO problem following this instruction.  I want to help these meds in every way I can so I can defeat this dragon.  Is grapefruit so important in your diet to take a chance?

Don't mean to be a hard nose but think it is so important that we do our part in this fight!

Wishing you the best and SVR! Pat

Hi

I keep seeing people here say no grapefruit but I have not seen anything on that. My doctors office know anything about this either.

I don't do grapefruit anyway but does anyone have a link on this?

Just curious

Thanks
Lynn
