So glad you obtained SVR. (!!!)
I remember when you were on triple and had to deal with iron and phlebotomies. It was awful and you kept chugging along.

I am still not over the novelty of my SVR. It takes awhile for those of us who have had it for decades, and have been through several treatments. You have been through the ringer. Just want to say congrats again, and enjoy!!

VL at start: 1,261,720
Treatment: 24 weeks Harvoni
Date completed: Dec 13, 2015
SVR or Relapse:  SVR12 (I can't believe I just typed that)!!!! yay me
Liver Status:  Compensated Cirrhotic Meld 5
All blood work normal with the exception of Iron levels which made me think I was going to relapse.

Prior to Prior treament- diagnosed with hemachromatosis and pct.  So I had to have weekly phlebotomies in order to reduce iron and ferritin levels before starting tx.  I can't remember but I think I did that for about 3 months before I could start the dreaded triple therapy treatment.

Game plan was for 48 weeks of Victrellis, Riba, and Interferon.  After about 12 weeks my blood work started to go out of wack.  Had to start taking weekly Neupogen shots, boy that was fun, because my WBC were tanking.  Then at week 36 my hepatologist stopped tx due to my rising ALT/AST and they were about 150 each.  So @ EOT VL not detected, 3 month EOT not detected, and final 6 month EOT was DETECTED!  I couldn't believe it.  VL was around 4000 so I thought it was an error so we reran it and it was approximately 800,000.

So now just have to deal with the iron levels through phlebotomies.  I can take that any time of the day.  So happy this disgusting disease is out of my body and I can start living my life again.

Thanks to all of you who have supported me all these years.  You know who you are and luv ya guys!!!!!!!!!
