SVR

Just got a call from the Dr. that I'm SVR 7 months post treatment. I'm a geno type 2 so I didn't have endure a year of treatment but to those of you that do my thoughts and best wishes are with you. I had a really easy treatment so for those of you that had and or are having a hard time my heart goes out to you. To those of you thinking about doing treatment it's not all horror stories some people that have easy treatments tend not to post their stories because of the fact they had nothing to complain about! I'm just here to share my experience and say that I was one of the lucky ones and hopefully you will be too. Thanks for all the support and questions answered and all my friends on here that helped me out along the way. I haven't really been on here in months but thought I would post this in hopes that it might help someone that's afraid to start treatment just like I was.

Thanks guys for all your help!

Hi, Mr. Just Married JT!

Your SVR news sure made my day. Big and tall congratulations!

I learned from your experience that interferon and ribavirin CAN sometimes have few side effects. During your treatment, you worked all week and then headed out for hikes to the glorious outdoors, except when you were busy planning (groan) your wedding (yay) and going out partying (uh, was that a no-no drink you had once or twice?)!

It did a lot for me to see your stunning photos of your weekly adventures.

You stuck to your prescribed dosage of ribavirin despite the persistent clamor from the board that you take more or else!  That could have rattled many people but you did not lose your head.

And here you are, SVR. Congratulations!

Susan

P.S. How is married life these days? It's got its side effects, too, and hope yours are light.

Good for you. My post follows yours. ALthough I am undetectable at 12 weeks post treatment and looking forward to SVR as of yet, I ,like you , had a much more tolerable treatment than most.
