Starting Treatment

HI Everyone -

I'm picking up my meds tomorrow - Ive been approved for 12 weeks Harvoni.  My Viral load was at 5.9 Mil.    What's your advice on what time of the day to take the medication?

Anything else you can tell me on what to expect would be appreciated.

I am on DAY 9.THE VERY 1ST 3 DAYS I FELT AS THOUGH THERE WAS A HORRIBLE FIGHT INSIDE MY LIVER.I DRINK OVER A GALLON OF WATER A DAY.BUT IF EVEN TOOK ADVIL WITH IN 2 HOURS THAT PAINFUL FIGHT WOULD START AGAIN.JUICE IF U CAN N LIMIT RED MEATS.IVE ALMOST
BECAME A VEGETARIAN..no fatigue.just a constant ringing in my ears.no headaches just dizziness.I have became more hungrier than I've ever been in my life.I take meds @11:00am where insomnia won't take place.I sleep like a baby.

I also did 12 weeks of Harvoni and was very treatment experienced. Feel real good about this treatment!! I took mine everyday at 6pm. My side effects were altering sleeping patterns, and occasional headache. When I cut the sweets and carbs a little, the headaches went away. I took Ibuprofen for them. Best wishes for you to join us on the SVR side.

I took mine at 11AM everyday and felt great from day 1 through day 84. I carried about my normal routine throughout treatment with working, weightlifting, working around the yard, etc. Slept better on treatment than I've slept in years.

The majority of people on Harvoni are not having many issues with Harvoni, and if they do have side effects, they are very mild and manageable.

Whatever time you can consistantly remember and take at the same time is best.

Sides I experienced if the were side were a couple of mild headaches.

I was on Harvoni for 24 weeks my doctor added Ribavirin after I started so the majority of the sides I experienced were from the ribavirin.

You will be fine good luck and onward to SVR!
