Started treatment last Thursday of 800 mg of ribavirin daily  and the auto click Pegasys weekly. Viral load was 35,000 on March 5th. Blood work to be done weekly  then on April 23rd will have blood work done to see if I'm responding to meds.

I started SOC ( 24 wks inf and riba) a year ago for genotype 2 and did not achieve UND until wk 12. I am now post tx 6 mos and hope to get my results tomorrow; if I am still UND it will indicate a successful SVR.

Just keep in mind that being Genotype 2 puts you in a minority (a rather good one) and does not follow the same time tables of UND for Genotype 1, so always make sure you only pay attention to the time table for g-2s. It really threw me for a loop when I was not UND by wk 8 or earlier like most everyone else treating, but as it turned out G-2s are not expected to be UND until wk 12, and thankfully, I was right on target and remained UND ever since.

Good luck and I hope all goes well for you!

The VL on March 5 is referred to as your baseline Viral load
Last Thursday was March 7 (your treatment start date)

April 23 is Tuesday & 42 days from treatment start date (6 weeks rounded down)

Knowing what Genotype you are is important since under certain circumstances a VL would be done on Week 4 (April 4)
