Upper GI question

Have had 2 prior upper gi's, Having my 3rd soon. 1st one was done prior to tx. and was uneventful, don't remember anything about it. Second was done on tx and even with double dose of iv juice was very unpleasant. My hepo done the first one but was called out and unable do the the 2nd. The GI that did it thought maybe the reason it was so unpleasant was because of the drugs i was on??? What do you think as i'm a little nervous about this 3rd one...

Thanks, cando

I've had one endo and it was uneventful.  They did find H.Pylori.

JmJm, I still have indigestion.  I got antibiotics to kill the H. Pylori.  Is it still possible I have the bacteria?

Good luck Can-do!  I can't imagine an endo could be uncomfortable since one is knocked out.  Were you completely knocked out?

I've had endoscophy's on and off treatment. Never felt a thing in either case. Hire a different plumber if the last one hurt. BTW while they're in, have them take a snip of the stomach to evaluate for H. Pylori. Also, if it's time for a colonoscophy, you can have them done at the same time. BTW I read recently that there are more coloscophy mistakes if you schedule right after lunch. Since reading that I always schedule my procdures - any procedure -- as close to first thing in the morning as possible.

thanks, cando. Going in on the 20th for my first UGI and hadn't even thought to worry. Oh well, hopefully one recovers quickly. All the best with yours.
