VA Benefits

Went and filed for VA Medical benefits today. They said I make to much money but they also said I could file for help cause I was a veteran of the Vietnam era. I was in the Marine Corps from 1972 to 1975. Anyone get any assistance from the VA that is under like circustance?

Thanks
Tommy

I don't know about any of this stuff TeeTom but I wanted to tell you just don't get up.  You KNOW when it comes to beaurocracy they want and expect you to give up if things don't go through easily...that's their favorite trick!  So just keep on going even when you don't want to and you are aggravated and think "I'll show you who's who - the government or an obsessed hepper" heck we win EVERY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And pay attention to the birdies it seems like they know what's what! :)

An informative and sweet little birdie dropped me a note; she doesn’t post in here any more but saw your question, and wanted me to pass these links along to you:

Hopefully, there’s something good in there for you.

Best of luck—

Go to that link, they have to give you benefits if your a vet but you may have to do a co pay.  Your insurance may pick that co pay up.

I did a quick read but it seems the co pay is rather low 5% if I read it correctly.

My girlfriends husband is a Vietnam vet and he goes to the VA hospital in Virginia and its all free.  His income $120,000 yearly.  He was diagnosed with Hep C last spring, they did the blood work and a biopsy all  free.  He discussed doing tx with them also and it too was free.
