New Features: Photo Sharing & Privacy

Hi,

We're pleased to announce 2 new features that are now available. Both of these features were requested heavily by our members in our "Improve MedHelp" survey as well as in our Suggestions forum.

1. Photo Sharing - In your profile, you can now upload as many photos as you'd like. Simply go to your "My MedHelp" and click the "Photos" tab. This is a great way to share multiple pictures with other members.

2. Privacy - We just added a new set of privacy features. You can now control who can see your "Posts" tab, your "Photos" tab and who can send your private messages, as well as invite you as a friend. To change your settings go to "My MedHelp" and click on the "Settings" tab. From there, click the "Privacy" link and make your adjustments. In addition, Journal Entries and Photos can also be adjusted at the journal/photo level.

It would also be nice if we could make our journal private.  Sometimes I would like to enter some things but don't because I know it is public.

I got rid of my little blue hep's on my page!  I guess I had two hep c's, so I deleted one and all of them went away!  Now I sort of miss them...

How about those thighs?  Don't forget to work on those too!  Any ideas on my little blue hep c's. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something!

Yes, discussion groups are a confusing topic. You post things on a public forum and people will be able to see the posts in what are called threads. However, if you don't want people to see your posts, either you don't write anything, or you compose your post, but don't push the "post comment" button. Hopefully, this will be helpful. Got to go to the gym now and work on polishing up those abs.

I've really have struggled with the idea of posting my picture, but in the end I'd rather be known here as someone with occasional helpful knowledge, rather than just another Adonis with broad shoulders, six-pack abs and thighs of iron. Does this make any sense?

Hey Linda - yes I believe you are the only blessed one with multiple Hep C's....as for the pics yes you can post away - I think up to 1.5mg per pix which is pretty good. So let's see yours too...

Hi,

Journal entries (photos too) can be set private, but it's at the actually entry level. You can set any journal entry to one of the same three settings. On any existing Journal, just hit Edit and you can change the privacy setting. For new ones, you can do it as you enter it.

I have edited my profile...didn't help those little blue hep c's.  Do you think some alien came and made them?  Am I the only one to have them?  I dunno! LOL...All I know is they ruin the fung sheui of my page!  Okay..if anyone knows how to get rid of these little aliens, I will follow directions!

Have you tried editing your profile and thus rewriting your interests to get rid of your little blue hep c's?

Ya know, I don't find those abs attractive at all, nor those thighs...they just dont' seem normal!!!!  I know after being a couch potato for all those months, this is NOT YOU! LOL

Give us the REAL you, c'mon. What are you afraid of? We will stalk you or something?  Put a bag over your head, what?

I would think that Journal entries would be something that some would like to be given the option to make private.  After all its a journal. Just a thought..

Hey, we HAVE to see this! LOL  We know you have good knowledge, Jim. We now want to see that mug of your's!  It's nice to see the face of people we are talking to, especially after over 2 years!  I asked MO if she had fangs the other day.....LOL   She likes to be private too. Sounds like we can keep our photos private, no?  Of course that would mean you would have to have a profile!  You know how much we think of you, no matter if you had big warts!

So you noticed my little blue hep c's?  You don't have them?  Why do I?  Maybe I should mail Harry about my fung sheui problems! LOL  When I click on them, I get threads of some sort, but don't know why or where they come from!  

I hope we don't have to make those photos little, that drove me nutz, trying to get the profile photo the right size!  Thanks!

That is very strange that they are only on your profile. When I first saw it I thought you were just REAL serious about Hep C...so I guess it really is ruining your fung sheui...
I posted some pics - very fun. I guess everyone has to start over with the pics huh - seeing how my old ones were gone.

I have about 50 little blue hep c things under interests...it ruins my fung sheui!  I use my watch list all the time. If you press the watch this discussion button on top of a thread, you can click your watch list and go back to those threads you want to watch! cool feature!  

So where can I see all my posts?
