Hepatitis from money?
I have an open cut on my finger from scraping it against a coat zipper. I was digging around for money in my bag and I felt the edge of the dollar bill poke me very close (or worse, right inside) the cut on my finger. How much am I at risk for Hepatitis C?

How is Hepatitis C spread?
Hepatitis C is usually spread when blood from a person infected with the Hepatitis C virus enters the body of someone who is not infected. Today, most people become infected with the Hepatitis C virus by sharing needles or other equipment to inject drugs. Less commonly, a person can also get Hepatitis C virus infection through
•Sharing personal care items that may have come in contact with another person’s blood, such as razors or toothbrushes
•Having sexual contact with a person infected with the Hepatitis C virus

No, you have next to zero possibility from contracting Hep C from money. In fact, it is rather difficult to contract Hep C except through blood to blood contact. Most people got it before anyone knew what it was - before they began to screen for it decades ago
