Hep C antibody test result

Hello Community;

Test report
SEROLOGY
Hepatitis C Antibodies 0.91
Borderline 0.9-1
Positive>1
Negative<0.9

What does this means? Am I positive antibody or negative? I am really concern about this as I am having medical check up for U.S visa next week.

I am not a doctor or any type of medical worker. We here are a  Community of patients who are either infected with  hep c or are cured and living with the effects of long term infection. This is primarily a support group.

Can you ask the doctor that ordered your test?

In any event my best guess is your result was 0.91 the rest of the information explains your result.

The explanation says a result of between 0.9 and 1is a borderline result. So if I understand correctly your result was indeterminate neither a  definite positive or a definite negative.

You should discuss the interpretation of your result with your doctor.

Thank you flyin;
I have disscussed this with Dr. He also done strip test 3 times which was negative but the elisa test showed the above result I asked him for PCR but he again advised me to do the Elisa. My concern is that coming days I have medical appointment for U.S immigration visa which I have waited for so long. Will this effect on my visa or not...
You should ask your immigration attorney. I know nothing about US visa requirements from any country
