my comment about mm was sort of tongue in cheek and I did not mean to sound like I advocate use of drugs not prescribed by a doctor.  I'll be more careful in the future about being less than completely serious in my remarks.

hes right unless a vaporizer is used or its incorporated with food like brownies - even then it can still be harmful tho - cigarettes are as bad as alcohol - pot is worse - especially street weed - mm is usually cleaner but  if its smoked in a j or pipe it will damage the liver and lungs - im not for or against it concerning others but i personally wouldnt do it

I was put on AD back in March to help quit smoking, then found out about the hep c, slammed me bad.. Dr upped my dosage and I could tell within a couple of days that it was really knocking out the stress. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I dont really want to do tx. No time is going to be a good time to treat as far as I am concerned.

i suggested pot to my doc as my appetite was nil during tx and he says it is as bad as alcohol! he is well known in the field and i trust him but was disappointed to hear this so i just ate what i could tolerate.

Glad it is working for you.  This is hard enough as it is without enduring additional misery that can be fixed.  Even though I've been on AD's for years, I immediately was affected by this stuff and had to make some medication adjustments.  By the way, although it is called Riba Rage, it is likely caused by the Interferon.  That's why towards the end of the week before it is shot time, it eases up a bit.  Also effective treatment if you live in an appropriate state (or not) is medical marijuana.

Ditto.  I started AD early in tx, increased the dose one time in 24 wks, and I don't know what I (or my poor hubby) would have done without it.  I also noticed how quickly it helped me, within just a dose or two.  I did wean off it very very slowly after finishing tx (3/4 pill then 1/2 then 1/4 then 1/8) and waiting to see what that first PCR would be.

Glad you're feeling better!

I never wanted to take one either, but about 10-12 weeks in, I started Celexa and it made a world of difference. Never had the rage issues but very moody and prone to crying jags. Stayed on it for the duration of tx, then weaned off.

Awesome!!!  Riba Rage is the one nasty symptom I have NOT had and I will be eternally grateful.  This is all hard enough without being your emotional best. I am sorry you experienced it and wish you the best.

Wow! That's amazing. Great news.  I don't want to have to take a AD either, but you give me a new perspective if it proves I may need it.
Best wishes for continued relief!
