Hello andra, Hep C can cause depression and anxiety.  Are U in treatment? for the Hep C I mean.  I was put on anti-depressants ADs before Treatment(Tx) and none helped but I was also given Xanax.  Only .5 mg to start and I stopped having panic attacks.  Like you I had pain in my Liver, or so I thought.  It turned out to be a gall stone floating around and would block a duct from time to time.  Had gall bladder removed and no more pain.  By the way, welcome to the forum!  You have found a good place and you will find us to be a mixed group of social and sometimes anti-social types-sorry-just read U are trying to get on Treatment.  Were you told you need Tx?  Are U seeing a gastro or Hepatologist?  Franke566
