my biopsy was no big deal.  they gave me a pill to relax me but when i met my doctor he said i was too lucid.  they gave me an iv and i don't remember a thing.  it was some twilight sleep i think.  anyway, peace of cake.  i was all worked up about at 1st because i watched a biopsy on youtube.  DON'T do that.  it's not worth being scared.  good luck to you.  belle

As long as they numb the area good its fine...I've had 2 I always say I'm getting  harpooned..I agree the worst part is laying there for 2 hrs..They don't put you to sleep while having it and its all about breathing so they can get at the liver without hitting the gall bladder. Good luck

Worrying over the biopsy was worse than the biopsy itself for me.  It was painless and quick.

I have to agree with Cando that the biopsy is no big deal. I am sure each Doctor has a slightly different approach, but blood work and ultimate biopsy is the norm. You are welcome to read my journal that outlines my biopsy experience.

Good luck and welcome

No reason to fear a biopsy, it was one of the easy things to have. The worst part for me was having to lay still for a couple hours afterwards before they let you go home.

Also depending on your geno type they might not suggest one, alot of times for geno 2's they don't bother with one......... Good luck on your appointment and try not to worry.

BTW, you all still have the drive in theater in Valpo?

Best,
cando
