How's your credit rating/limit? HectorSF knows a lot more than me but if worse comes to worse paying off a credit card, or credit union loan might be a way to go. You can't buy an old used car for $1800 these days. Please keep us posted.
What you will pay depends on the health insurance plan you have. First make sure they are charging you correctly. Talk to your insurance company and find out what the cost should be. If $620 is the correct cost.
You have two choices.
Pay the co-payment or get assistance with the cost. (Sadly although we have never been asked anyone posting on the Internet I'm afraid has already given up their privacy.) It is your decision.
Many of us have saved many thousand of $ on our meds with patient assistance programs, access to care foundations or grants. They exist for a reason. Some of us can't afford the cost of our co-payments or don't have health insurance.
Good luck with your treatment!
Cheers.
Hector
Dunno. I know everyone's income varies greatly in this world but $620 sure sounds better than the other horror stories. I'm assuming that is for 3 months, no?
I'm not going to be of much help, but I did want to tell you that one of the treatments I went through, there was a company you could apply to and they did help with the payments. It's been over 10 years so I can't remember who they were. I got their contact info from my doctor at the time. Good luck!
Thank you! I'm quite hesitant about some of these "assistance" programs -- some of them seem more like scams to get your personal information than actual foundations that provide assistance. I'm generally very distrusting of just forking over my personal information, ya know?
Thanks again! Appreciate the link!!
I don't know if this webpage will help you or not but I thought it was worth sending you the link:

I wish you best as you move forward in treatment.
