is a quantitative load of 5,464,470 concidered high and what does geno type 1a mean as far as my diagnosis? i am on a waiting list for folk without insurance.
It's a high viral count, but that doesn't mean much when you start treating. It means it's very active and present in your blood. Once you start treating, the numbers will go down (hopefully to undetectable). I don't think there's a correlation between the high count and rate of success in treatment. Genotype 1A is the most common. The good part of that is that most of the drugs (if not all) are being developed for 1 people. Good luck.
