Hi alfa.   I think that is very good news.   Epstein Barr is a fairly common virus which does explain the symptoms you expressed.  It is non life threatening and tends to go into remission with out further problems.
I'm thankful that you do not have the Hep C virus which has many more complications.
I hope wedding bells are still in your future, and at least you can rest knowing
that your new marriage will be free from Hep C.
Stay well

Try not to worry to much until you get your blood work back.   At this time we could all speculate, but the results of your tests will give you the answers.
Be well

Yer I am eating properly II think I may have been having a bit of anxiety as well. I did a full std screen including hep at 3 weeks after event and a hiv duo test at 28 day's after even. I think the doc has taken bloods yesterday to check my kidneys and liver have you ever heard of these symptoms before Kim ? Thanks

No.    None of the symptoms you described could be classified as Hep C symptoms.  What did you test for other then Hep C.   Did you do a full blood panel or CBC?  Again, am not a doc, but white tongue usually has to do with a weakened immune system.  Are you eating healthy, and taking care of yourself?
When you get your Hep C test back, let me know.
You honestly won't know anything until the results are in.  I do hope it's not Hep C.   Should that be negative and you continue to feel bad, you should really go see a Doctor.
Take care.    ...Kim..

I can help you with that.   At the top of this page press forum, and on the right it says "Ask a Doc or expert"  You then choose a category and ask your question the same as you do on this forum.   BTW. On this Hep C forum, we aren't docs, but have all been involved with liver disease whether as a patient or caregiver.  Thought I may add some thoughts on your post.  You mentioned liver pain.  The liver does not cause pain with damage but surrounding areas could.   The sac around the liver can cause pain with inflammation.  The pancreas, and the gall bladder are in the same area of the liver.   Should your bloodwork show no liver issues (hope it does), the gall bladder could be something for you to investigate.  Sooo, when you look at  posting a question in expert category, a gastro guy might help.   Good luck on your upcoming wedding, and hope you find your answers.

The symptoms you describe are not typical of hep c.  The virus is transmitted thru blood to blood contact.   if you both were bleeding in your nose and sharing the same straw, perhaps you could contract the virus.  Am not a doc, but would ask to have your liver enzymes or liver panel checked as well.  Not familiar with your lifestyle as far as being a drinker, but if you use drugs this also could effect your liver.  It's better to be safe then sorry.

Doing this one time the odds would be very low. The odds increase if the use is more frequent. Once one has chronic hep C there really is not a lot of symptoms. I had it for over 30 years without a clue, that's why they call it the "silent killer". But do get tested. Hang in there.

While it is possible to get Hep C this way the odds are low. I will say the problems you say your having has nothing to do with Hep C. Glad your getting tested.
